MEET edith MCCLURE
Hey there!
I’m Edith McClure, proud wife of Don E. McClure, Jr., and mother to three wonderful children. My journey began in the small and beautiful town of La Labor, Guanajuato, Mexico, and today, I am a proud Texan, Mexican-American, and U.S. citizen. Above all, faith and family are at the heart of everything I do, and I feel truly blessed to have such a large, loving community around me.
A Family Rooted in Hard Work and Success
My family’s story is one of resilience and the American dream. For instance, my father was the first of his siblings to come to the United States under the Braceros program, working in cotton, fruit, and vegetable fields across the country. Over time, many of my family members followed, gaining experience as welders and eventually finding opportunities in Houston’s refineries. As a result, I often joke that the best welders and pipefitters come from Guanajuato!
Coming from such humble beginnings, my parents taught us the value of hard work and sacrifice. To this day, those lessons remain with me, and I’m incredibly grateful for my upbringing. In fact, I have a huge extended family—22 aunts and uncles on each side, along with countless cousins, nieces, and nephews—which makes every gathering a joyful celebration of love, culture, and tradition.
Balancing Family and Work
Working alongside Don at our law firm is a unique and fulfilling experience. Of course, balancing family and work can be challenging, but many of our clients are also family and friends, which makes the two beautifully intertwined. For this reason, I feel there’s no greater privilege than being a trusted point of contact during both the difficult and joyous moments in our clients’ lives.
When you call or visit our office, you’ll often connect with me, Monse, or Jeanette. Together, we work hard to ensure that every client feels welcomed and supported. Not only do I take pride in being part of their journey, but I also find joy in offering a sense of belonging—because, at our firm, clients are treated like family.
Faith, Family, and Gratitude
Faith is a cornerstone of my life, and I cherish the time I spend with my family, both immediate and extended. Whether it’s attending church, celebrating traditions, or simply enjoying quality time together, these moments ground me and remind me of what truly matters.
Ultimately, I’m incredibly thankful for the life I have—the chance to raise my children, work with my husband, and build meaningful relationships with our clients and community. Every day, I strive to honor the sacrifices my parents made and the blessings I’ve been given by giving back in every way I can.
