Looking for an activity that keeps your child learning and engaged?
The McClure Reading League: Summer Program is a fun and friendly way to help 1st through 4th graders stay sharp, build strong reading habits, and fall in love with books—all summer long.

Here’s the twist: the more they read, the better their chances of winning!

The Prizes

We’re turning reading into a race worth joining:

🏆Grand Prize: Bicycle: Brand-new bicycle
🥇 1st Place: $50 Gift Card per Grade

Disclaimer: The Grand Prize winner will not receive a $50 gift card. The second top reader from that winner’s grade will receive the $50 gift card instead

  1. Register below to join the challenge

  2. Download the free Reader Zone app

    • Available on iOS, Android, and desktop

    • Our Program Code will be emailed to you after signup

  3. Log every minute your child reads between June 2nd – August 1st

  4. The top readers with the most logged minutes win big!

All reading counts—chapter books, audiobooks, graphic novels, reading aloud—if your child is reading, we’re counting it.

This program is open to all 1st through 4th grade students living in the Greater Houston Area.

No matter your child’s reading level, this challenge helps them grow, have fun, and maybe even win big!
