MEET DON MCCLURE

Hey there!

I’m Don McClure, a dedicated husband to my amazing wife, Edith, and proud father of three children—two daughters and a son. Edith is my rock, both at home and at work. In the office, she keeps everything running smoothly and makes it her mission to truly connect with our clients—not just understanding their legal issues but getting to know them and their families personally.

When I’m not in the office, you’ll find me surrounded by family activities, from school events to soccer games. Soccer has always been a big part of my life—I used to play two or three times a week before having kids. Now, I get to pass that passion on to my children by coaching their teams. My oldest plays for her high school and a competitive select soccer team, while I’m currently coaching my son. I’m looking forward to my youngest joining the game soon.

Our family also loves traveling and spending summers in Guanajuato, Mexico, where Edith grew up. It’s a beautiful colonial town filled with rich history, breathtaking scenery, and some of the best street tacos you’ll ever find. I enjoy riding my bike through the cornfields that surround her hometown. If you want to experience the “real” Mexico, I highly recommend visiting Guanajuato—you won’t regret it!

From Houston to Law School: A Journey of Service

I was born and raised right here in Houston, Texas. While I wouldn’t call myself naturally athletic, I enjoyed playing sports, especially soccer. After graduating from high school, I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, working full-time while pursuing my education. Among my jobs was working at the legendary Dixie Chicken, making their famous “Death Burgers.”

After earning my degree, I took an unexpected turn and joined the College Station Police Department. My time as a police officer taught me invaluable lessons about helping people during their toughest moments and shaped my ability to evaluate situations with precision—skills I now use every day as an attorney.

After leaving law enforcement, I decided to follow my passion for justice by attending law school. I graduated with honors in 1993, passed the bar, and started my own practice. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve built my career on helping clients navigate complex legal challenges.

A Unique Perspective in Law

My background as a police officer gives me a distinct edge in legal cases. Whether it’s investigating the facts of a personal injury claim, analyzing evidence in a criminal case, or determining fault in an accident, I bring a methodical, detail-oriented approach to every situation.

I’ve also seen firsthand how insurance companies try to minimize claims. This makes my work as a personal injury attorney challenging but deeply rewarding. I take pride in standing up for my clients, many of whom have been misled by the narrative that all injury claims are fraudulent. Most of my clients are genuinely hurt and deserve justice, and I fight tirelessly to ensure they get it.

Relationships Built on Trust

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the relationships I’ve built with clients over the years. Many of my clients come from referrals, and in some cases, I’ve had the privilege of representing multiple generations of the same family. These connections mean the world to me because they reflect the trust and confidence people place in my work.

Serving Houston’s Hispanic Community

The majority of my clients are Hispanic, many with roots in Mexico, like my wife. While I’m still perfecting my Spanish, I deeply understand and respect the culture, traditions, and values of the community. It’s an honor to serve such a hardworking and vibrant group of people.

Beyond the Law

While being a lawyer is what I do, it’s not who I am. First and foremost, I’m a family man. I’m a husband, father, coach, cook, and even my kids’ personal taxi driver. I’m also someone who values faith and community, striving to bring kindness and empathy to everything I do.

In other words, I’m probably a lot like you—just someone who wants to help others and make a positive difference wherever I can.
