Drinking and driving prevalent around the holidays, don’t contribute to the statistics
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, a person is hurt or killed in a car crash involving alcohol every 20 minutes. Houston led the state with 89 fatal DUI crashes in 2016. And Distracted Driving is also at epidemic levels as texting and driving are common in today’s environment. The aftermath of either type of accident is horrible for everyone involved. The family of the deceased is devastated, the community mourns the senseless act, and the first responders must endure another tragic situation. We urge everyone to not drink and drive this
holiday season – or any time of year – and to please contact an attorney for help if you or a loved one are facing a tragedy like this. There are very specific deadlines that must be met in order to protect your rights and there are multiple different factors that go into figuring out how the case should proceed, including where the person who caused the accident consumed
the alcohol and the circumstances surrounding their consumption.

This article focuses on how to get involved on your terms so that it is meaningful and a win-win for everyone. The author stresses that important things take time, so taking a strategic approach when figuring out your passion project is worth it – even when it takes a few weeks.
